Hola! I'm Ana Milena Varona, a passionate cellist hailing from the vibrant land of Colombia. Music has been the rhythm of my life since I first picked up the cello at the age of 14.
My journey in music has been diverse and enriching. I pursued my love for the cello academically, earning a degree in Music Performance from University of Cauca. Along the way, I've had the privilege of performing with a variety of ensembles, from symphony orchestras to chamber groups, Latin American folk ensembles to rock bands, and even choral groups.
Sharing the gift of music has always been close to my heart. As a seasoned cello teacher with years of experience, I've had the pleasure of guiding numerous students on their own musical journeys, helping them unlock their potential and discover the joy of playing the cello.
Presently, I am proud to be a member of the Quinte Symphony, where I contribute to the rich tapestry of orchestral music. Additionally, I am part of the Amaryllis Trio, exploring the intricate interplay of chamber music. It also brings me so much joy performing alongside my husband in a captivating duo of guitar and cello, where we blend our musical talents to create beautiful harmonies that resonate with audiences.
For me, music is more than just notes on a page or melodies in the air. It's a universal language that transcends boundaries and connects us all. Whether on stage, in the classroom, or within the intimate setting of a duo, my mission is to share the transformative power of music with others, inspiring them to find their own voice and express themselves through the enchanting language of melody and rhythm.
Thank you for joining me on this musical journey. Let's make beautiful music together!
